Sunsets and Auroras

One of my hobbies is finding art in the ordinary. I am constantly enticed by little explainable yet seemingly logic-defying moments. Sunsets and auroras are beautiful because they symbolize atmospheric orders dancing together to create something that looks and feels effortlessly whimsical. A simple yet complex beauty that we can admire daily. The mesmerizing juxtaposition of natural and supernatural. A bit like falling in love. The soft swirl of science, law and aesthetics.

Being in the Silicon Valley has helped me appreciate technology on a whole new level. Other than an upgrade to our mundane life, and the excitement of the new and sexy, I find technology fascinating because there is an elegance in mathematics, numbers and logic. When you boil down the complexities, they distill to basic logic that just makes sense. And when you can swim comfortably in the fundamentals, then you can play with the endless possibilities. Technology simply allows creativity to explode in so many different ways.

They say tech is a bubble and we here in NorCal are in the clouds. But there is also something to be said for visionaries to that choose to live by logic, and all the while flirting with an ideal and romancing with ambiguity. They consciously live and stay in the dream; looking up to the sky but never losing sight of the ground. Because at the end of the day when they come back down, which they inevitably will, this euphoria is what keeps them determined to solve the answers. It’s about recreating this high and making it attainable and sustainable. And it’s this passion they keep that scales the magic and keeps our imagination alive.
